Calling all entrepreneurs! Are you looking to start a retail-based business? Join this four-week series to gain a game plan on getting your business launched, network with like-minded individuals, and walk away with a toolkit of resources!

Series Outline:

Week 1: May 1, 2024 | 5 – 7 p.m.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Business planning and structures
  • Permits and licenses
  • Business bank account

Week 2: May 8, 2024 | 5 – 7 p.m.

  • Budgeting and funding for a startup
  • Financial projections
  • Costing and pricing
  • Accounting and accounting systems

Week 3: May 15, 2024 | 5 – 7 p.m.

  • Selling at a farmer’s market
  • Utilizing social media and creating a presence
  • Selling online/marketing strategies
  • Advertising and digital marketing

Week 4: May 22, 2024 | 5 – 7 p.m.

  • Basic business documentations
  • Return policies and customer satisfaction
  • Event preparation and needs
  • SBDC Assistance
